Cotton's and Nic-o's F1B standard goldendoodles at 4 weeks old

Here they are in all their puppy glory at 4 weeks old! My, but does time fly by quickly!! This litter is growing nicely and developing socially on par. They're starting to hear us say, "Here puppy!"" when their softened food is served. This is the beginning of teaching them recall.

The pups are toileting outside the whelping box on wood chips and starting to explore more and more in their nursery -- when they're awake. They still sleep a lot!!

This week they'll start new location exposure in the K9 living room. I'm in love with this litter. As usual I have a fondness for each one, and for all different reasons I can tell you why each one is my favourite! Lol! (I may love my job 🙂

I'm looking forward to seeing the pups develop and mature over the next few weeks as their personalities blossom. They can start going home on June 3. All of these pups are spoken for.

Cotton's & Nico's F1B standard goldendoodle pups born April 5

This is Cotton's first litter, and she took advantage of a nice sunny day to have her pups five days early. Cotton actually had her first pup in her outside dog house, and the other dogs alerted us with some commotion when they heard the newborn cry!

She needed a bit of support, so I sat with her in her whelping box to help her settle. An hour later, she had her second pup. After cleaning up the pup, she pushed it over to me, as if to say, "I already have one, you can have this one." She is just beyond sweet... what a girl!

By the time pup #3 arrived, Cotton was in full mommy mode, caring so well for them all that I could step back and let her natural instincts take over (while I kept an eye on her through the surveillance camera, just in case). She is such a good mama and very attentive. All the pups are doing very well so far.

Cotton is a favorite of our dear neighbor friend, Hannah, who works for Hope Mission at Bethany Homes just down the road. She’s the horse wrangler, helps with children's programs, and pitches in wherever needed, so we decided to name the pups after a Hope Mission theme.

The 8 boys are named: Brightwood, Counselor, Handy (for helping hands), Hub, Hope, Mission, Teglar, and Wrangler. The 2 girls are named Bethany and Charity.

The pups will have their vet visit around May 25, and we'll do their temperament/aptitude testing on May 29. Choosing will happen on May 30/31, with the 2-hour training Zoom call tentatively scheduled for May 31 at 7pm. The pups can start going home on June 2. All of these pups are spoken for.
