Snoopy and Fiction are adopted!

Peanuts and Peachy's pups are all adopted and it sure seems quiet around here now!

Nite Nite's pups are doing well and growing. I'll be posting updated photos in the next couple of weeks.

Look for upcoming spring litters to be updated within the next week after pregancy tests are completed.

Lots of adoptions on Family day!

Family day at Hearty K9s brought about a busy stream of dog lovers wanting to add a new member to their families. The latest adopted puppies are:

  • Peanut's Schroeder
  • Myth and Legend from Peachy Keen's litter

Fiction remains from Peachy Keen's litter and is waiting for someone to scoop her up. She has a hair coat and will likely shed some. Fiction has a great balanced temperament, not too energetic or shy. I'm trying to avoid the temptation to keep her for myself... she's a great pup!

You can see her on Peachy Keen's current litters page.

Woodstock has been adopted! Some pups are still available

I had 9 families come today and was in the barn for most of the day. I'm glad I'm taking tomorrow off to do the family thing with my brothers and sister.

Woodstock has been adopted and Snoopy, Schroeder and Lucy are available for homes.

Peanut's pups

Peanut and Dayo have quite a beautiful litter of pups. They are so much fun and we are enjoying their variety of characters.

The pups are 7.5 weeks old in these latest photos and will be ready to go home January 24th.

Snoopy
has a nice curly coat. He's a bit shy and needs someone to take him by the paw and show him the world. Guess weight... 59.5 lbs?
ADOPTED

Lucy is a well-balanced, easy-going girl. She has a gentle nature and will make a wonderful companion for someone who can see her beauty within. We affectionately call her our discount puppy... but only because she is missing an ear -- and not for the same reasons Marly in the movie "Marly and Me" was discounted 🙂 My guess is that she will weigh around the 60 lb mark. -- ADOPTED

Schroeder is a good-natured curly boy. He'll likely weigh around 65 lbs. -- ADOPTED

Woodstock is quite the active, goofy, energetic fellow. Yet he likes a good snuggle after a good play. Guess weight: 60 lbs? -- ADOPTED

The latest, latest adoptions

It's been another busy week and weekend! Things are coming together well but we still have a lot of standard-sized pups to find good homes for.

ADOPTED

from Peanut's litter:

  • Charlie Brown
  • Franklin

I was very excited to train a couple of people to come and help me socialize pups. I had been getting a bit worn out lately and am relieved with the extra help. The gals are working out really well. The only disadvantage for me is that I don't get to know the pups as well. But I do get to catch up on the details one way or another.

The kids are just too busy with their homework, swimming and piano lessons to have them commit to 2-3 hours of socializing daily!

The latest adoptions

It's been a very busy couple of days! I've had several people come this weekend to choose which pup they want. Here's the summary!

ADOPTED

  • Pigpen
  • Linus
  • Rerun gets to be a service dog for a neat boy
  • Peppermint Pattie will be going to work with her new mom

The rest of Peanut's litter is available.

Peanut's pups at 5 weeks

Here is Peanut's litter at 5 weeks old. These pups are a bit darker apricot in general than Yankee's but they'll likely still lighten some; as is the trend with Dayo's pups.

Their personalities are really coming through now and it's neat to see how each pup is a bit different from each other. These pups will be ready to go home January 24th.

There are still several males available in this litter and maybe one female. I'll know better once people with deposits start choosing which pup they want after the January 10th weekend.

Please contact me if you're interested in one of these pups.

Our one-eared wonder. Lucy was born with 2 ears but I believe she had a sore or something on one ear and Peanut was trying to help her out. He got carried away and bit off 3/4 of her ear. We'll just say she got her ear talked off in the Psychology Booth. 😉

Peanuts pups arrive November 29

Image

Peanut's pups graced the k9 nursery starting around 7 am Saturday morning and the last one slid into home at 1 pm. 😀

All look healthy and are growing well. There are another 8 boys and 2 girls... the boys are certainly a popular trend around here! They're all a nice apricot color and will likely range between the 45-65 lb mark. We're taking deposits for the boys; the girls are all spoken for.

The theme for this litter is from Charles Schultz's "Peanuts" comic. So the boys are Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Linus, Woodstock, Schroeder, Pigpen, Franklin and Rerun; and for the girls we have Lucy and Peppermint Patty. These pups will be ready to go home January 24th weekend.

Peanut and her 2 daughters, Yankee and Peachy Keen, all come from very outstanding lines. Their hips rate close to excellent, which is not easy to find in a golden retriever. I'll likely donate a couple of these dogs for service dogs as I think they would be perfect. Please contact us if you're interested in some great quality F1 standard goldendoodles.
